4:58 on a Sunday. Boy turns on football, girl opens wine.
I expected this to be watery, sweet, and so-so. One out of three ain't bad. It definitely was not watery or sweet, but it wasn't a home run. However, I paid $4.97 for it, so I'm not complaining. It had a licoricey/anise smell and very little fruit (though more dried than fresh). The taste was dry and peppery, with some blackberry thrown in. It had tannins & structure, and the flavor was mild but not bland. All in all, decent wine for less than a Blockbuster movie rental.
